| For some reason, through my college courses, accounting was easy for me. No wonder everyone thought it the right career for me, everyone except yours truly. Five years trying to make an essentially crooked engineering company act like a proper business convinced me the world needed accountants but could do without me as one of them.
Since 1977 my world has revolved around selling - everything from milking machines to mainframes, and from debt collection to outsourcing. Life has mostly been fun, and usually profitable. Benefiting from excellent training, and working closely with some truly excellent people has shown me the very best of best practice in the science of selling.
At the present time I'm focused on a Business 2.0 operation offering a new dimension of cost/value in business software, and also Exploitation Manager for an EU funded research program looking at helping health care professionals with predictive techniques. This is a grand way of saying when the clever guys have worked out the answers, my job is turning the IPR into a business.
