Ms. Shiffman is founder and principal of the marketing innovation consultancy, Venture Essentials, which maintains a sole focus on helping companies reinvent their marketing. She has presented in 19 countries worldwide to audiences of 50-5000 including business professionals, press, Wall Street analysts, and sales organizations. Over her career, Ms. Shiffman has worked closely with noted CEOs including Ed Zander, formerly CEO of Motorola and Eric Schmidt, CEO of Google.

While working at Sun Microsystems, Ms. Shiffman introduced the industry’s first reliable workgroup servers, the first Java-based storage management platform, and Sun’s first media server. She also led the team that transformed Sun from a workstation vendor to a commercial systems company. Her expertise spans computer, software, and Web technologies to advertising and branding, marketing communications, product marketing, and public relations. She has been a strategic marketing consultant since 2001.

Ms. Shiffman has had multiple articles featured on MarketingProfs.com, and has been featured in The New York Times, BusinessWeek, Los Angeles Business Journal, PR Week, and on CNET and The Motley Fool, among many other publications and online media. She has blogged for two years attracting thousands of readers each month, and with her new book she launched Engage Daily Blog (www.ageofengage.com/blog), which focuses on companies, technology, and marketing that serves to engage audiences.
