National Accounts Sales Manager: TMC & Airlines

Basic Function
Under general direction, plans and conducts sales activities to sell guest rooms and meeting facilities on a National basis by following Drury Sales Procedures in order to build hotel occupancy and revenues for Drury Hotels. Responsible for achieving the sales goals set forth by the Director of National Sales and Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Job Duties
  • Manages key accounts and an additional targeted National Accounts by promoting Drury Hotels. Primary contact is Travel Managers, but also works with procurement and travel departments as well as travel agencies and account managers as appropriate.
  • Possesses understanding of Company programs including but not limited to: Gold Key Club, Inner Circle and other company programs and promotes them as appropriate .
  • Understands and follows Company sales processes including but not limited to Sales the Drury Way.
  • Possesses an understanding of client needs as it relates to National Travel and client company's travel trends. Works with client to determin appropriate solutions to meet those needs while still ensuring profitable results for Drury.
  • Possesses an understanding of company's primary method • of reservations, booking tools, travel agencies (if applicable) and meeting and group travel processes.
  • Conducts quarterly account updates including personal visits with clients (at least one per year).
  • Creates sales plans to shift market share to Drury Hotels including promotional opportunities.
  • Provides direction to local or field sales teams
  • Responsible for accurate completion of Request for Proposals (RFP's) including research, assessing needs, identifying opportunities for business, and works with field sales to ensure appropriate hotels are included in the RFP and to determine competitive rates. Assists with negotiation of rates and ensure accurate rate loads once RFP is approved.
  • Works closely with Regional Sales Managers•
  • Performs other duties as required and assigned.

General Knowledge, Skill and Ability
  • Excellent spelling, grammar and written communication skills. Attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials.
  • Ability to operate most standard office equipment and general knowledge of office administration procedures a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and to organize and prioritize work.
Education and/or Experience
Four-year College or university degree and/or three to five years Hotels Sales experience .
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general data and information. Ability' to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from team members, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and perform basic analysis of data including but not limited to percentages, budget projections etc.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have experience with Microsoft Office software applications including Word, Excel, Powe.rPoint and Outlook.
