The division is comprised of sales and marketing professionals who are passionate about their role in bringing MSD's prescription medicines, vaccines, and other medical products to our customers worldwide.

MSD is recruiting a Sales Manager to take primary responsibility for the leadership and effectiveness of a team of Vaccines Customer Engagement Specialists. In this critical role you will be accountable for the delivery of Vaccines sales performance, for the operational coaching of the team and for the development of effective relationships with key customers. The position is a dedicated resource in the Vaccines BU, manages multiple Customer engagement specialists and reports directly to the BUD. The position requires close collaboration with the Marketing, Sales and Medical functions to implement the Vaccines Business Unit Strategy.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following main tasks:



  • Become market expert by developing deep market, customer, product and competitive insights



  • Lead sales staff towards achievement of BU's sales objectives developing competencies and processes required to create an effective sales team



  • Provide leadership through effective communication of vision, active coaching and development, challenging sales goals and results as well as taking the appropriate action to correct if necessary.



  • Ensuring effective hiring, orientation, training, development and retention of sales staff as well as full compliance with internal processes, SOPs and the Code of Practice



  • Provide sales management, budget control and feedback for incentive planning.



  • Provide supervision through field visits, observations and measurement of results to include performance appraisals and salary reviews.



  • Establish KPIs in collaboration with the Marketing/SFE team; track, monitor and take required action to ensure the delivery of these metrics



  • Uses market analysis, past sales data and other resources to develop and implement effective Business Plans designed to achieve targets and maximize ROI



  • Proactively identify changes in healthcare, market environment and competitive pressures to deliver robust customer insight to inform and shape strategic decision making.



  • Attend promotional meetings, seminars and conferences as appropriate.



  • Through the CRM tool, establish clear engaging relations with mutually agreed objectives to involve key stakeholders and opinion leaders in targeted activities.



  • Develop and inspire current sales team to create momentum and build necessary skills to improve performance and create succession.


Qualifications

Education and languages:





  • Bachelor's or master's degree



  • Professional Fluency in English.

Professional Experience:



  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales departments.



  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Brand & Customer Manager



  • Have operated in Pediatrician Market



  • Documented track record of delivering successful outcomes in prior roles



  • Proven ability to provide development coaching



  • Proactive business approach, actively seeking creative and innovative ways to align portfolio products with customer health strategies



  • Familiarity with business analytics tools and methodology



  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
