ROLE DESCRIPTION
Founded in 1972, SAP is the world's leading provider of enterprise applications, analytics, and mobility with over 170,000 customers around the world. SAP is currently seeking a Sales Operations Business Partner Senior Specialist.

SAP Digital Interconnect, a division of SAP, is the global leader in enabling messaging services. We provide our Enterprise customers with the widest offering in SMS, Rich SMS, MMS, Mobile Push Notification, Social Channel notification, email messaging and innovative mobile consumer engagement services, other than the IoT last mile connectivity. SAP Digital Interconnect processes more than 2.1 billion messages per day reaching more than 1,100 Operators and 6.1 billion users around the world. SAP is currently seeking an experienced Account Executive.

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The candidate will be part of the Digital Interconnect team located in Vimercate - Italy
She/he will be focused on the Sales Operation support, for all the Lines of Business, and will be expected to liaise with both internal (SAP) and external (Supplier) Finance and Billing Department as well as Legal Department.
The position will report to the Sales Director and will be responsible for :

  • ensuring the correctness of the supplier invoices, as well as the SAP DI invoices, by checking the different bills and dealing with SAP DI Finance team as well as with the Supplier's Finance team
  • keeping costs under control by frequently monitoring the margin reports and by consequently suggesting corrective actions to the sales team
  • assisting and supporting the Sales Team with the customer bad debts management, by chasing Customers' Finance Department, in sync and synergy with the Sales Accounts
  • extract and elaborate traffic data in order to weekly provide accurate and reliable revenue projections and forecast for the month, as well as daily pivot data
  • follow all the entire approval process while creating Price Change Notification, according to Sales requests
  • Monitoring CRM updates both in terms of Leads, Opportunities, Stage and Forecast
  • negotiate from time to time the commercial condition with suppliers (normally Mobile Operators)
  • ensure that the monthly Revenue and Gross Margin information is accurate, by checking the revenue recognition, and eventually following up with SAP DI Finance Team, keeping track of the true ups
  • supporting operational activities for all the marketing initiatives such as sponsorship or events, in terms of PO issuing, material, gadgets and other related matters

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
The position is considered as a Senior position, thus it is expected to be highly reliable and to pay extreme attention, care, and precision to the different tasks. The Geographic Region in which he/she will operate is currently Italy, France, French Africa and Russia, but additional EMEA Countries might be added to his/her region in the future, as well as other Lines of Business.

Margin checking, Bad Debts, PCN (40%)
Daily Pivot, Weekly Forecast, Supplier and SAP DI invoice checking, CRM (40%)
Rev-Rec and follow-up (15%)
Contract negotiation, Marketing operational support - occasionally (5%)

Understand SAP's competition and effectively position SAP Digital Interconnect solutions against them.
Maintain CRM system updated with accurate customer and pipeline information.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

University Degree in Business, Economics or IT/Engineering or equivalent experience
Ability to interact at any level within an organization, with experience dealing at C-level such as CFO and CPO, and good negotiation skills.
Absolutely strong focus on results, in terms of margin and forecast.
Good understanding and knowledge of mobile, media, commerce/retail, e-commerce and finance sectors
Self-sufficient, able to work autonomously and full of initiative, willing to see her/his results recognized and rewarded.
Strong presentation, negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills
High team attitude
Strong positive attitude - this is a must
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Business level English: Fluent
Local language: Fluent, Business Level
Highly recommended languages : French, Arabic

WORK EXPERIENCE
5 years of experience in sales operation within messaging, mobile or digital contests.
Proven strong track record of reliability and efficiency. She/he will be accustomed to self manage her/his work time, by prioritizing tasks and respecting strict deadlines, with a mature and professional approach to problems.
