Ed is the author of the book The Sales Manager's Guide to Sanity. He also writes a free blog, by the same name. Ed started his sales career in retail during college. He took his first business to business sales job selling fax machines for 100% commission. His career developed over a 20+ year period of exceeding sales expectations coupled with a successful track record of leading others to do the same. He has held a variety of positions including first line sales manager roles to regional manager roles to national sales leadership roles, including being a partner/owner.
Ed has enjoyed the privilege of working for and learning from world-class organizations, including IKON, Ricoh, Kodak, and Xerox. Over his career he developed cross-functional depth and experience managing multiple teams responsible for Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Operations, and Services. He has had extensive experience leading, selling, and delivering product solutions across multiple industries, growing revenues, and profits year after year.
He has enjoyed repeated success in sales management by developing organizational agility, developing relationships, building positive team cultures, and launching new programs including an entire new verticalized national sales group while at Ricoh.
Ed, and his wife Pamela, enjoy living in Virginia where they successfully started a boutique vineyard dedicated to growing high quality Cabernet Sauvignon in Virginia. They have been blessed with three amazing children (Cassandra, Roshelle, and Quin).
